What are On-site and/or Virtual Crisis Support Services?
On-site and/or Virtual Crisis Support Services may include individual or group support and stabilization for impacted students and staff members. BIE BHWP coordinates services and resources with the requesting school/program and considers the needs, strengths, traditions and cultural protocols when addressing all Crisis Support service delivery aspects. The BIE BHWP Crisis Support team members are trained in using evidence-informed intervention models to assist schools in the immediate aftermath of an emergency.
How to Access Crisis Support Services?
To access On-site and/or Virtual Crisis Support services, you must receive approval from the BIE Program Lead and the BIE Contracting Officer Representative.

What to Expect from BIE BHWP Crisis Support Services?
Crisis Support services aim to:
Provide trauma-informed, on-site or virtual crisis support.
Lessen the intensity, duration and presence of a typically overwhelming crisis.
Respect and honor the local Tribes’ practices and traditions.
Crisis Support services DO NOT support:
Playing the role of “first responder.”
Providing Training and Technical Assistance during a crisis.
